Begin your day with a scenic shuttle ride from Queenstown out to Arrowtown, where you'll be fitted with an E-Bike, or standard bike, and be given a full safety briefing, helmet, and a map, along with all the information you need to bike out to the Gibbston Valley wine region.
You'll pedal out through the Arrow and Kawarau river gorge cycle trails, crossing the stunning Edgar Swing Bridge, and the Kawarau Suspension Bridge - the ‘home’ of the world’s first bungy-jumping! You'll pass by historic cottages and enjoying breath-taking views over kiwi farmland and our majestic mountains.
Once you reach Gibbston Valley Winery, it’s time to leave the bike behind, and jump on the Wine Hopper Shuttle Bus to begin your wine tasting journey. With no more pedalling required, you’ll relax in the comfort of our air-conditioned shuttle, as our friendly, knowledgeable guide takes you to a selection of local wineries, vineyards, cellar doors, and even a charming church and a tavern.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to explore at your own pace, visiting your choice of 3-4 venues over the afternoon, indulging in wine tastings, dining, and local delicacies, all while soaking in the breathtaking vineyard scenery. And after a full day of unforgettable wine, food, and stunning views, we’ll return you to Queenstown by approximately 6:00 PM.

This fun and affordable wine experience delivers you direct to the Queenstown wine region, just 20 minutes from Queenstown. The Wine Hopper Bus provides a convenient winery transport service, complete with a friendly and knowledgeable wine guide. All wine tastings and food are at your own expense and are paid directly to the venues you visit on the day of your tour.
We are super flexible and have no fixed timetable, our on-board wine guides offer the ultimate flexibility, customising your day, dropping you off and picking you up from wineries whenever and wherever you choose. Whether you have a set plan or would like our guide to organize the day for you, we provide a relaxed and fun experience, allowing you to explore the region at your own pace.
